Abstract
Carbon nanotube (CNT) has been widely studied as a field emitter because of its geometry with high aspect ratio, and chemical stability. A CNT emitter has been developed for such as field emission display (FED), field emission lamp (FEL) and X-ray source. While the FEL and FED require a relatively low-current density of about 10μA/cm2, X-ray source needs a high-current at a small area. © 2010 IEEE.
