Abstract
This paper deals with the CDA demodulator design of the earth ground verification system for satellite DCS payload of Geostationary Korea multi-purpose (GK)-3 satellite. The transmission specification is based on the open standard DVB-RCS2 physical layer standard in satellite communication. In this paper, we focus on the key requirements for establishing a transmission system, which includes the number of terminals accessible in the network and designing a demodulator that is capable of operating in a low SNR condition. Furthermore, the DCPs to be installed around rivers nationwide can support three transmission modes to report a small amount of water resource data collected from the observatory to CDA.
