Abstract
This paper reports on 159-GHz propagation measurements collected in a large cubicle office environment and provides an analysis of path loss and delay spread characteristics. The directional propagation characteristics (by selecting the best-beam directional combination), denoted by Max-Dir, and the synthesized omnidirectional characteristics, denoted by SynOmni, are investigated. The measurement results show that the Syn-Omni path losses are smaller than the Max-Dir losses, but the Syn-Omni delay spreads are greater. The NLoS losses do not seem to be considerably different from the LoS losses, especially for the Syn-Omni case. Additionally, the empirical CDFs of the delay spread appear to follow a lognormal distribution.
