Abstract
This paper relates to a method for creating realistic 3D models in real-time. This method can be divided into three categories. The first category focuses on voxel based 3d model reconstruction. We describe how to compute visual hull efficiently using several silhouettes of an object corresponding to different camera viewpoints. The second category involves converting the 3D object shape into the triangular patch representation. The method improves both the visual quality and accuracy of the estimated visual hull mesh. The third technique, multi-view texturing, is to achieve photo-realistic 3D rendering results at interactive frame rates. Our approach combines the features of model reconstruction and texture mapping of the above three categories in the 3D domain.
