Abstract
― Recently, there have been several attempts to implement the quarter waveplate condition geometric phase lens (QWP-GPL) in the self-interference incoherent digital holography (SIDH) system to reduce the three-wavefront interference noise that occur during the wavefront modulating process of half-waveplate (HWP) condition GPL based SIDH system. However, the operation of QWP-GPL requires precise circularly polarized beam which is difficult to produced using conventional QWP in the visible wavelength. In this work, we implemented a cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) as a circular polarizer and demonstrates the experimental results validating the circular polarization filtering mechanism of the CLC.
