Abstract
― In this study, the geometric-phase (GP) lens is designed to have a retardation amount (Γ) that satisfies the quarter-waveplate (QWP) condition for the self-interference incoherent digital holography (SIDH) system. Unlike the conventional GP-SIDH, the QWP GP-SIDH can make a polarizing interference patterns from two separated beams without generating additional optical noise wavefronts. Thus, a high-quality holographic reconstructed image at a different focal plane can be obtained compared with quarter-waveplate-based GP-SIDH systems.
