Abstract
Global powers are investing heavily in artificial intelligence (AI) and hyper-connected networks, demonstrating their crucial role in future warfare. To effectively develop and utilize defense AI, governments and international collaborations must prioritize the establishment of a robust AI ecosystem. This ecosystem should encompass a comprehensive research and development infrastructure, a collaborative environment, and skilled AI experts. Concurrently, a strategic, phased approach should be adopted to develop defense hyper-connected networks while focusing on implementing 5G and edge computing, integrating low-orbit satellite communications, and developing satellite–air–ground integrated networks. This multi-faceted approach will ensure the successful integration of AI and hyper-connected networks, strengthening national defense and positioning nations at the forefront of technological advancements in warfare.
