Abstract
Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) 3.0 physical layer standard has various types of interleaver such as time interleaver, frequency interleaver, and bit interleaver. The main purpose of the time and frequency interleavers is to improve decoding performance by distributing burst errors occurring in deep fading channels. This paper provides analysis results on the degree of performance gain that time and frequency interleavers can provide in a real environment.
