Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new physics-based virtual performance augmentation method in order to build a universal XR metaverse, which is a digitally inclusive XR metaverse for senior users. The proposed method effectively combines a XR device set and an inverse-kinematic solver to simultaneously acquire the real 3D motion of XR users and animate the virtual 3D motion of their XR avatars. Then, a new bidirectional position-to-acceleration transformer is applied for virtually augmenting the activity performance of XR users, including senior users. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified with real experiments.
