Abstract
Recently, various studies have been conducted on the use of aerial UEs in different countries. This paper reviews the compatibility requirements with terrestrial LTE systems necessary for the deployment of aerial user equipment (UEs). The interference effects of the aerial UEs' transmission signals on terrestrial LTE base stations were analyzed. The analysis considered various factors, such as the operating height of the aerial UEs, cell radius, the number of UEs per sector, power control algorithm parameter set and presented technical conditions to prevent interference with terrestrial LTE base stations.
