Implementation of ASEF for Eye Detection

- Abstract
- Eye detection is one of the most important step in the face recognition, gaze tracking, and eye blink detection. So the various methods for eye detection have proposed for a long time. In this paper, we introduced the new implmentation method for ASEF to detect eye positions precisely. We trained the normal face images to produce the ASEF, and detected eye positions while rotating the ASEF by up to -10, -5, +5, +10 degrees. We did an experiment on our database (ETRI). It has not only frontal face images, but also slightly rotated face images. Also it contains the various hairstyles, glasses, facial expressions and illumination. In the experimantal result, the detection rate of our method has improved about 10% than the origianl method.
