Abstract
The sleep and wake-up process introduced to reduce power consumption in communication systems is receiving a lot of attention. This study presents a method for power saving in communication systems with wireless relays. The purpose of this study is to wake up both the relay and the UE from sleep mode with a single wake-up signal. We will show which kind of wake-up signal is suitable for this purpose and we suggest which detection method is recommended for each relay and UE among the OOK-based method and the OFDM-based method.
