- Abstract
- This paper proposes an SRv6 (Segment Routing IPv6)-based integrated architecture of mobile core and transport networks in 6G systems, which addresses efficiency issues in the user plane of current 5G networks. The proposed architecture significantly reduces user plane overhead, maximizing resource utilization. We present and analyze three integration methods to accommodate various network environments. This architecture is set to playa pivotal role in the evolution of mobile networks by supporting the AI-based networking requirements of 6G.
