Abstract
This paper is aimed to propose an efficient software implementation of physical random access channel (PRACH) detection for 5G New Radio(NR) in Open RAN (O-RAN). The evaluation results show that 5G NR gNB on a general-purpose processor can fulfill the performance requirement of processing delay and false alarm probability.
