Abstract
This paper introduces a novel approach to managing factory energy data utilizing an ontology-based metadata management tool. The aim is to facilitate better understanding, analysis, and optimization of factory energy use to support sustainability initiatives like the Green New Deal and carbon neutrality goals. The tool enables data analysts and domain experts to gain insights into Factory Energy Management Systems (FEMS) data, identifying potential energy-saving opportunities through a comprehensive metadata framework.
