Abstract
A field emission lamp (FEL) back light unit (BLU) for liquid crystal display (LCD) was developed by using printed carbon nano tube field emitters with an enhanced turn-off current driving method. This method dramatically shortens the turn-off response time of field emission in the FEL, under 1 ms, which is applicable to a normal impulsive or a color-sequential BLU.
