Abstract
This paper presents a thorough empirical study on arrhythmia detection using Neural Ordinary Differential Equations (NODE) enhanced with an attention mechanism. We implement NODE and ACE-NODE to extract target-specific information for classifying ECG beats. Following the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) guidelines for beat labeling, our experimental results show that the inclusion of an attention mechanism significantly improves the model's classification performance.
