Abstract
With the recent rapid growth of the art market, the demand for accuracy in art appraisal has been increasing. In particular, in the analysis of oil paintings, for increasing the accuracy of appraisal various imaging techniques are being introduced to analyze areas that cannot be confirmed with the naked eye and spectroscopic analysis techniques to analyze materials. Since existing analysis devices are not dedicated to art appraisal, they have not sufficiently considered the elements required for appraisal and analysis, such as the mobility of the device for immovable works of art, and the efficiency and automation of analysis tasks through multi-sensors. In addition, integrated management and visualization of acquired data are necessary to improve the efficiency and accuracy of art appraisal. In this study, we propose an oil painting analysis device equipped with multi-sensors and a system that supports processing and visualization of spectroscopic data related to acquired image data.
