Abstract
The animal exposure system was designed for large-scale animal studies with simultaneous exposure to the 4th generation and 5th generation electromagnetic fields. Two frequency bands of long-term evolution (LTE) (900 MHz and 2.12 GHz) and one frequency band of new radio (NR) (3.65 GHz) were used for radio frequency exposure. The signal source of the simultaneous animal exposure system was designed to consist of three modules: a 900 MHz LTE module, a 2.12 GHz LTE module, and a 3.65 GHz NR module. The transmit antenna for each band was designed and fabricated to have a minimum insertion loss characteristic of -15 dB. The reverberation chamber (RC) used is the same as that in the previous study. The number of modes affecting the field uniformity at the exposure frequency in the RC was 4.47×103 at 900 MHz, 5.87×104 at 2.12 GHz, and 3.00×105 at 3.65 GHz.
