Abstract
This paper describes a CMOS transmit beamformer operating in the mm-Wave frequency range for upper-mid band and satellite communication using 65nm bulk CMOS technology. The beamformer, equipped with a 6-bit phase shifter, 6-bit digital step attenuator, 1-to-4 power divider, and common source amplifiers, achieved a small signal gain of 28 dB and an output 1-dB compression power around 5 dBm at 14 GHz under a 1.0-V supply voltage. The RMS phase error and gain error within the 13.7 to 14.7 GHz band are within 5 degrees and 0.82 dB, respectively
