Abstract
We utilized a multi-wavelength laser proving system to study the feasibility of noninvasive glucose monitoring in soft silicon-based tissue phantoms fabricated for twelve glucose concentrations within the 0 to 420 mg/dl range. We also present results of monitoring the glucose levels in the solid tissue phantoms using concurrent diffused transmitted and reflected near-infrared detection with the simultaneous measurement of environmental factors. Our estimations using multivariate linear regression and multi-layer perceptron models resulted in 0.87 R2 and 39.65 RMS, as well as 1.0 R2 and 2.87 RMS, respectively, across 1110 frame datasets for twelve tissue samples.
