Abstract
In communication systems, in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) amplitude and phase imbalances cause severe degradation in error performance. In this paper, we present the symbol and bit error performances of circular θ-quadrature amplitude modulation (CTQAM) with I/Q imbalances in an additive white Gaussian noise channel and show that CTQAM is more robust to I/Q imbalances than the conventional square QAM.
