Abstract
This paper presents new potentials and promising solutions for mid-range magnetic communication by overcoming the short communication distance limitations using a magnetic communication system with a loop coil transmitting antenna. Additionally, tests and evaluations of the magnetic communication link were conducted under real channel conditions for media such as underground environments and mining tunnels. For the tests, various coil antennas operating at a frequency of 15 kHz were designed and optimized. The study involved the design and fabrication of antennas with spiral structures and rod-type antennas based on magnetic cores, followed by comparative analysis. As a result, it was demonstrated that data transmission is possible between underground transmitters and above-ground receivers. A successful magnetic communication link was established up to a distance of 100 meters.
