Abstract
This paper presents simulation results of Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) routing for Inter-Satellite Link (ISL) protocol for satellite constellations. The ISL routing model for satellite constellations simulated by NS-3 provides packet routing results based on OLSR algorithm and packet flow on the satellite topology via ISLs. Based on OLSR core functions and network flows with transmission control protocol/internet protocol (TCP/IP), increased inter-frame parameters, three-way handshake message signaling (SYN, SYN+ACK, and ACK) and data transmission results are provided. The simulation results show quantitative approach for optimized data transmission for ISL satellite constellations.
