Abstract
As a next generation mobile satellite system, an integrated mobile satellite service (MSS) system is recently considered in order to provide seamless and ubiquitous wireless coverage over the world. In the integrated MSS network, it is essential to share efficiently frequencies between satellite and terrestrial components under tolerable interference level. In this paper, we propose how the terrestrial component of an OFDMA based integrated MSS system can reuse satellite frequency resources. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme brings spectral efficiency improvement with proper interference management. © 2010 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc.
