Abstract
The transition to a super-aged society has increased the need for intelligent home environments that support healthcare and Active Assisted Living (AAL) services. With advances in large language models and multimodal foundation models, AI agents are evolving into autonomous entities that can interpret sensor data, assess health conditions, notify caregivers, support medication management, and connect users to healthcare or emergency services. However, deploying AI agents in home-based healthcare and AAL environments may introduce security and safety risks, including sensitive data leakage, incorrect care decisions, excessive autonomy, prompt injection, and misuse of device control. This paper analyzes AI agent roles and attack surfaces, presents a threat model covering data collection, context awareness, AI inference, action execution, and external service integration, and discusses future research and standardization requirements for secure and trustworthy AI agents.
