- Abstract
- The effectiveness of employing pre-EDFA and RS(255,223) FEC in a 10 Gbps long-distance optical wireless communication system was experimentally validated. With FEC applied, a receiver sensitivity of -43.2 dBm and a 7.5 dB improvement in link margin were achieved at a BER of 10−6 .
