본 논문은 OpenAirInterface( OAI) 5G NR gNB 의 상향링크 PUSCH LDPC 복호 과정에서, 최대 반복 복호
횟수까지 수행해도 복호에 실패할 가능성이 높은 code block( CB) 을 조기에 식별하여 불필요한 반복 연산을 줄이는 AI
기반 early-abort 정책을 제안한다. 제안 방식은 LDPC 복호가 10 회 반복까지 진행되었음에도 cyclic redundancy
check( CRC) 를 통과하지 못한 CB 에 대해서만 경량 multilayer perceptron(MLP) 분류기가 추가 반복 복호 수행 여부를
판단한다. OAI 기반 상향링크 실험에서 기존 LDPC 복호기와 AI Early-Abort 적용 복호기는 동일한 94.9502%의 복호
성공률을 보였으며, 평균 LDPC 반복 횟수는 3.0757 회에서 2.5944 회로 감소하였다. 특히 최대 20 회 반복 복호 후에도
실패한 CB 그룹에서는 평균 반복 횟수가 20.00 회에서 10.47 회로 감소하여, 성공률 저하 없이 실패 가능성이 높은
CB 의 후반 반복 연산을 효과적으로 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.
