Abstract
This paper presents and proposes the system design and features pertaining to ATSC 3.0 MIMO Extension. The scope is the physical layer and closely related aspects, covering technology newly specified in A/322 (physical layer protocol), A/324 (related signaling and instructions processed in broadcast gateway), and A/327 (implementation and deployment guidelines). We detail the definition and baseline clarifications, processing and procedure descriptions, signaling parameters, and configuration constraints, together with the design rationale.
