Abstract
This paper presents a low-noise amplifier (LNA) designed for upper-mid band 6G applications. The proposed LNA employs a two-stage architecture consisting of a common-gate input stage with a transformer-based matching network and a differential common-source output stage. The input transformer improves the effective transconductance and reduces noise con- tribution from subsequent stages. Fabricated in a 65-nm CMOS process, the LNA occupies an active area of 600 μm × 885 μm. Measurement results demonstrate a 3-dB bandwidth of 3.05 GHz over 6.53–9.58 GHz, with a peak gain of 19.31 dB and a minimum noise figure of 2.06 dB. The measured input 1-dB compression point is –18.8 dBm, and the power consumption is 19.8 mW.
