Abstract
자율주행 차량, 엣지 컴퓨팅, 로봇, IoT 등 온디바이스(On-device) 환경이 고도화됨에 따라 원격 소프트웨어 업데이트(OTA, Over-the-Air)는 필수적인 시스템 관리 기술로 자리잡고 있다. 그러나 OTA는 무선 환경에서 대규모 디바이스를 대상으로 수행된다는 특성으로 인해 펌웨어 위·변조, 중간자 공격(Man-in-the-Middle), 인증 우회 및 권한 탈취, 단일 장애점(Single Point of Failure) 공격 등 다양한 보안 위협에 노출된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 최근에는 제한된 연산 자원을 고려한 경량 보안 프로토콜과 중앙 집중형 구조의 한계를 극복하기 위한 분산형 인증 기술에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최신 문헌 조사를 기반으로 온디바이스 환경에서의 OTA 보안 프로토콜 및 인증 기술 동향을 분석한다. 특히, 경량화된 통합 보안 아키텍처, 다중 요소 인증 기반의 분산형 상호 인증 기법, 그리고 블록체인 기반 무선 합의 프로토콜을 중심으로 주요 연구들을 비교·분석한다. 또한 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 향후 온디바이스 OTA 보안 기술이 직면한 주요 도전 과제를 도출하고, 향후 연구 방향을 제시한다.
