Abstract
This paper proposes a Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) architecture utilizing the Network Controlled Repeater (NCR). Viewing Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites as large-scale repeater clusters, we extend the NCR concept to NTN and present three deployment scenarios: LEO-based, UAV-based, and terrestrial NCR-based. The architectures are compared in terms of beamforming flexibility, complexity, latency, and service continuity. The proposed approach enables adaptive beam control and enhanced coverage, improving the efficiency of satellite-assisted mobile communications.
