Abstract
We investigate surface oxidation effects in SiC photonic crystal nanocavities using ozone-based processing. Compared with Si nanocavities, SiC exhibits minimal and highly stable resonance shifts, demonstrating superior robustness against oxidation-induced optical perturbations under ambient conditions.
