Abstract
In this paper, we propose the dynamic lane decision method for efficient energy saving in multi-lane based 40G/100G Ethernet. The number of lane is decided on average input traffic, queue threshold, and queuing rate, every monitoring period. we simulate and evaluate in terms of queue delay, packet loss rate, the number of used lane, and energy saving rate.
