- Abstract
- In this paper, we propose a robust image binarization method for shape-based trademark retrieval. To separate the object from background, color consistency was checked and median filtering was done to reduce effect of noisy segments on foreground. The proposed method was compared to the binarized image using Otsu"s method and shown to be effective.
