Abstract
In accordance with the development of technologies in computing environments, the demand for various service providing technologies using 3D graphic contents has been increased. The existing 3D contents service system based on a proprietary terminal like the information system for buildings has some problems -the management issue of updating 3D contents and contents execution software and the security issue of contents disclosure.To solve these problems, we propose on-line 3D contents service system using graphic offloading. Our proposed system consists of the 3D contents service server and the contents display client. The 3D contents service server store 3D contents and execute 3D contents execution SW on a software virtualization environment. Also, the contents display client processes graphic rendering information generated by running server's contents execution SW using its own GPU(Graphics Processing Unit) and displays the result of rendering to its own display unit.
