- Abstract
- This paper provides an analytic method to estimate the ranging rate involved in multicast and broadcast service (MBS) of mobile packet systems. The ranging rate is derived as a closed-form function of the Laplace transform of the MBS session time distribution. The method can be easily extended and applied to mobile systems with hierarchical cell structure. © 2011 IEEE.
