Abstract
This paper presents eigenvalue analysis results of wideband MIMO channels on outdoor LOS environment at 3.7 GHz. The channel measurement campaign was performed by using the BECS channel sounding system on urban macrocell and urban microcell scenarios. We analyzed the statistical characteristics of eigenvalue with rms delay spread. Based on eigenvalue characteristics, we derive mean and variance of eigenvalues which are function of rms delay spread. Channel capacity with rms delay spread shows that LOS environment has reasonable MIMO channel capacity when rms delay spread is large enough.
