Abstract
On microwave tomography study, electro-magnetic radio wave attenuation is one of important issues. This limits operating frequency, spatial resolution and makes poor sensitivity for the tomography system. This paper presents media channel evaluation in UHF electromagnetic tomography for breast cancer detection. On this study, breast channel losses are simulated with cancers of several sizes and without a cancer. The simple analytical calculation method is introduced for easy evaluation. Based on these results, the upper frequency limit is evaluated.
