Abstract
We have fabricated a smart triode X-ray tube based on carbon nanotube (CNT) emitters with a high tube current for the stationary breast tomosynthesis examination system. The X-ray tube was designed to have a focal spot of around 0.3 mm. The active-current driving method was applied to our X-ray device to enhance stability and uniformity of the CNT emitters. We have obtained successful X-ray images through the triode X-ray tube evacuated by a pumping system.
