Abstract
This paper presents a runtime debugging and monitoring tool for development of automotive applications based on automotive open system architecture (AUTOSAR) Operating System (OS). The tool indicates the debugging information for developers by controlling the Background Debug Mode interface which provides incircuit debugging functionality in microcontrollers. Also, the tool provides special display functions for monitoring internal operating system data and properties of the objects of AUTOSAR OS by using the extended OSEK Run-Time Interface (ORTI) file that is a universal interface for development tools to the OSEK/VDX operating system.
