- Abstract
- According to the present invention, an image decoding method for supporting a plurality of layers includes the steps of: receiving and parsing layer-dependent information about whether one layer in two layers is the reference layer of the other layer in an entire bitstream; when interlayer prediction is used in decoding a current picture in a current layer, receiving and parsing layer informationin the specified reference layer derived according to the layer-dependent information and of the layer of a picture that can be referenced by the current picture; and decoding the current picture on the basis of the layer information. The step of decoding the current picture on the basis of the layer information includes generating a reference layer list based on the layer information; generatinga reference picture list based on the reference layer list; performing interlayer prediction based on reference pictures in the reference picture list to generate a prediction block of a current blockin the current image; reconstructing the current block based on the prediction block.
