- Abstract
- A method and a device for processing a multi-channel audio signal are disclosed. The method includes: identifying a downmix signal of an N/2 channel and an N/2 residual signal generated from an inputsignal of the N channel; generating a first signal by applying the downmix signal of the N/2 channel and the N/2 residual signal to the pre-decorrelator matrix; generating a second signal by applyingthe downmix signal of the N/2 channel and the N/2 residual signal to the pre-decorrelator matrix; outputting an output signal of an N-channel by applying a first signal and a second signal to a hybridmatrix, in which the first signal is not decorrelated by a decorrelator before the hybrid matrix is applied and the second signal is decorrelated by the decorrelator before the hybrid matrix is applied.
