- Abstract
- The invention discloses a method and a device for processing multi-channel audio signals. In the method, the N/2 channel downmix signal and N/2 residual signal generated from the N channel input signal are identified; the first signal and the second signal are generated by applying the downmix signal of the N/2 channel and the N/2 residual signal to the pre-decorrelator matrix; the first signal isapplied to the mixing matrix, where the first signal is not decorrelated based on the decorrelator; the second signal is applied to the decorrelator and the decorrelated second signal is applied to the mixing matrix; based on the result of applying the first signal and the decorrelated second signal to the mixing matrix, the output signal of the N channel is output.
