- Disclosed are a method and a device for inducing motion prediction information and performing encoding and/or decoding for a video by using the induced motion prediction information. An encoding device and a decoding device generate a list for inter prediction of an object block. In the generation of the list, whether to add motion information of a candidate block to the list is determined on thebasis of information on the object block and the motion information. If the motion information passes a motion prediction boundary test, the motion information is added to the list. Available motion information on the prediction of the object block is selectively added to the list through the motion prediction boundary test.
