- A method for decoding an image, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: identifying a parallel motion information prediction unit index of a current block of which the motion information is to be decoded; obtaining motion information of at least one neighboring block from among neighboring blocks of the current block that are not blocks belonging to the parallel motion information prediction unit of the previous index; and processing motion information prediction decoding for the current block on the basis of the motion information that has been obtained.
