Abstract
광 모듈이 개시된다. 광 모듈은 전송하고자 하는 데이터 신호를 수신하기 위하여 외부와 전기적으로 연결된 인터페이스; 상기 수신된 데이터 신호를 직렬화(Serialization)하여 신호 변조(Signal modulation)하는 신호처리용 프로세서; 복수의 서로 다른 파장을 가지는 광원들이 다중화된 DC(Direct Current) 광원을 광파워 공급기로부터 수신하여 상기 직렬화되어 신호 변조된 데이터 신호를 통해 광변조함으로써 광송신 신호를 생성하는 광송수신기; 및 상기 생성된 광송신 신호를 외부로 출력하고, 외부로부터 광수신 신호를 수신하는 광섬유 커넥터를 포함하고, 상기 광파워 공급기는 상기 광 모듈 내부에 존재하는 주요 열원과 일정 거리만큼 이격하여 배치되며 상기 광송수신기와 DC 광원용 광섬유를 통해 연결되고, 상기 광송신 신호는 상기 광파워 공급기에서 출력된 DC 광원이 상기 광송수신기를 구성하는 실리카(Silica) 광도파로 기반의 다중화 블록에 포함된 광원용 파장 역다중화기를 통해 파장별로 분리되어 상기 광송수신기를 구성하는 실리콘 포토닉스 기반의 광소자 블록에 포함된 광 변조기를 통해 각각 광 변조된 후 상기 다중화 블록에 포함된 광송신용 파장 다중화기를 통해 다중화됨으로써 생성될 수 있다.
