본 연구는 양자 컴퓨팅의 주요 큐비트 구현 방식 간 경쟁을 지배적 디자인(dominant design) 관점에서 비교·분석하여, 향후 사실상 표준(de facto standard)으로 수렴할 가능성이 높은 후보를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 기술, 기업, 전략, 이해관계자 요인으로 구성된 지배적 디자인 결정요인 체계를 정립하고, 전문가 설문을 통해 각 요인의 상대적 중요도를 도출하였다. 다음으로 구현 방식별 성과지표를 측정·정규화한 뒤, 도출된 중요도를 가중치로 반영하여 종합평가를 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 초전도 방식이 가장 유력한 지배적 디자인 후보로 평가되었으며, 중성원자와 이온트랩, 광자 방식이 그 뒤를 이었다. 실리콘 방식은 상대적으로 후발 주자로 평가되었다. 본 연구는 지배적 디자인 관점의 정량적 평가틀을 통해 큐비트 구현 방식의 경쟁 구도를 구조화하고, 향후 기술·투자·정책 의사결정에 활용 가능한 비교 기준을 제시한다.
