가. 연구 개발 최종 목표 광통신용 10Gbps M-Z 변조기 집적 광원 모듈 개발 -광원: 연속 발진 DFB-LD -광변조기 : 변조 선폭 확대 최소화 EO형 Mach-Zehnder 변조기 -변조 속도: >10Gbps -광출력(광변조 손실 포함) : 0 dBm 이상 나. 연도별 연구 내용 1) 1차년도 목표 및 내용 o 개별 반도체 레이저와 EO형 광변조기 개발 o 내용 : - 고출력/고수율 단일 파장 DFB-LD 제작 - 2.5Gbps 급 EO형 Mach-Zehnder 광변조기 설계 및 제작 - 광변조기와 반도체 레이저의 집적화를 위한 공정 안정화 - 광변조기와 반도체 레이저의 집적화를 위한 에피 성장 기술 확보 - 변조기 집적 광원 모듈 패키지 기술 개발 2) 2차년도 목표 및 내용 o M-Z 광변조기 집적 DFB-LD 개발 o 내용 : - Mach-Zehnder 광변조기의 변조 성능 향상($2.5Gbps{longrightarrow}10Gbps$) - 광변조기와 반도체 레이저의 최적 집적화를 위한 에피/공정 개발 - M-Z 변조기 집적 단일 파장 광원 칩 제작 - 고속 변조 및 파장 감시 기능 내장 모듈 패키징 기술 개발
