Abstract
1. 연구개발의 개요 ○ 연구개발 목표 o 시각장애인 정보 접근권 제공을 위한 장애인 접근성 전자출판 플랫폼(ABLE: Accessible eBook for Liberty and Equality) 개발 인쇄된 책을 읽을 수 없는 시각장애인들에게 다양한 양질의 전자책을 제공하고 원하는 도서를 검색하여 용이하게 읽을 수 있도록 장애인 접근성 지원 전자책 변환 기술, 저작기술, 서비스 기술 및 뷰어 기술을 개발하여 격차 없는 정보 접근권 및 학습권을 제공함
○ 연구개발 주요내용 o 상용 전자책(PDF, EPUB 등)을 장애인 접근성 전자책(EPUB3 기반)으로 변환하는 전자책 자동변환 기술 개발 o 대체 텍스트만으로 이해하기 어려운 복합 콘텐츠(수식, 표, 그래프 등)를 시각장애인에게 효과적으로 전달할 수 있는 콘텐츠 전달 기술 개발 o 다양한 양질의 콘텐츠를 포함한 장애인 접근성 지원 인터랙티브 전자책을 손쉽게 저작하고 표준화된 인증기준("EPUB3 접근성 인증기준“)을 만족하는 전자책 포맷으로 패키징 할 수 있는 장애인 접근성 전자책 저작 기술 개발 o 전자책 콘텐츠에 대한 시각장애인의 자유로운 접근 및 열람이 가능하도록 전자책 제공 및 탐색 기능을 동시에 제공하는 장애인 접근성 인터랙션 기반 전자책 뷰어 UI/UX 기술 개발 o 시각장애인이 원하는 도서를 효과적으로 검색할 수 있도록 장애인 맞춤형 큐레이션 (Curation) 기능을 제공하는 장애인 접근성 전자책 서비스 기술 개발
